The collaboration of Dr. Crizzle, gerontologist at the School of Public Health in Saskatoon, with the University of Bordeaux, was strengthened following the visit of the Scientific Councilor and the Scientific attaché of the French Embassy in Canada.

Dr. Crizzle‘s research aims to help older people remain independent and engaged in their community for as long as possible. His research is transdisciplinary (medicine, psychology, kinesiology and public health). He has been recognized for his work in gerontology as a leader in the field by the Canadian Institute for Health Research and by the Research Institute of Aging.

The Cultural and Scientific Department of the French Embassy funded Dr. Crizzle‘s visit to the University of Bordeaux in June 2017 to develop new partnerships between the University of Saskatoon and the University of Bordeaux.
